Mission & Vision:
The mission of the council’s training programs is stated as follows:
To form geologist with competencies for geological work, research and innovation, with humanistic values, with a systemic approach for solving society needs and problems, contributing to the progress of the country, the defense of the geological resources, and the affirmation of our national identity.
It is been realized by the council a massive demand for complementary training of geologists in Sudan, especially for graduates based on the existence of a mismatch between academic education and industry requirements.
Training is a continuous process needed by geologist with different grades for professional promotions

The Objectives of the Training Programs:
(1) The training programs of the council are expected to help to bridge the gap between academia and industry
(2) To coordinate with geologic stakeholders to play a vital role in this concern.
(3) Establishing electronic library and using websites for training purposes.
(4) To deliver geological professionals the key concepts, principles and technologies essential to geological exploration. Practical issues, and pitfalls which affect the application of geological data and information.
(5) Learning objectives progress from basic awareness to advanced knowledge levels
(6) Qualification of Trainers through training programs designed to provide the participants with concepts of a systematic approach to training, building the skills, knowledge and abilities that are required to be an effective trainer.
(7) Preparation of training plans and program and executing them on basis of equality and transparency.
(8) Playing a vital role in training of young graduates on their first steps for practicing geology profession.
